The heritage of the company extends further, having grown from the well-respected Alces Post and Beam. Our timber frames are renown for their quality—designed and hand cut by our highly skilled team of woodworkers. These professionals take great pride in constructing unique timber frames known for tight joinery and precision craftsmanship. MRP+B crafts each frame though a relationship with the client, allowing the owners’ visions and individuality to reflect through the finished home.

Ramsey Orr | owner-operator
Ramsey and his wife, Lauren, founded MRP+B in 2013. MRP+B grew from Alces Post and Beam, where Ramsey credits his development of true craftsmanship. He has been crafting custom timber framed homes for over 20 years. He resides in the Mad River Valley with his wife and their two daughters, Ella and Molly.
Matt Karkut | manager
Matt Karkut pursues a deep passion for the timber framing craft with a wide skillset. You’ll find him equally comfortable modeling behind the computer, cutting joinery in the shop or hanging out in the heights of a timber frame. Matt lives on the slopes of the Green Mountains with his wife, Brittany, and their newborn daughter, Poplar.
